This place exists because some things can only be learned by being lived. The guiding line is simple: Be bold. Be true. Be wild. Be you.

My favorite things in life surround the facts that 1) I make many mistakes 2) I am an older sister (to a younger sister that cringes when I say the guiding line above), and 3) I deeply feel the world around me.

My pages are reflections on my thoughts, work, love, and becoming. The hope is not that you leave knowing more, but that you leave feeling less alone in what you already know. To Be is for those who are thoughtful, curious, and feel a calling towards something greater.

Over time, this place will extend beyond writing. It will gather people around tables, literal and figurative, for dinners, books, crafts, and conversation. Community here is meant to form slowly, deliberately, and in real life. This is the first version, acting intentionally simple. Complete enough to feel alive, and human enough to evolve.

My name is Keara. I’m 26, living in Milan. I recently quit my Big 4 consulting job, sold the majority of my things, and moved here to study luxury management.

I am passionate, funny, confident, brutally real, and fully built on love. I believe the meaning of life is to love and be loved.

I also believe in slow mornings. Home cooked meals around large tables. Bottles of wine shared among friends. A good outfit sets the tone for the day, and that writing gives my soul purpose.

I have made many mistakes, failed, succeeded, failed again, fallen deeply in love, gotten my heart broken by friends and lovers, and lived in every moment of my life.
